Cashu-XX
An 8-bit browser RPG about getting merged into the Cashu spec, played with real ecash.
What it is
You are XX — a nut with sunglasses and no NUT number, a walking placeholder
(NUT-XX). Pay a 100-sat Lightning invoice to enter Nutsterdam, a city
populated by the Cashu ecosystem, and follow the real
CONTRIBUTING.md
process: open an issue, get reviews, land implementation PRs, and get merged as
a new NUT.
Real ecash
Unlike most browser demos, the loop is real money. Your 100 sats are minted on the Minibits mint and come back as a single cashu token you can scan with any Cashu wallet — or cash out to a Lightning address instead. Amounts are deliberately tiny (100 sats in, 100 sats out). The mint is a best-effort beta; small amounts only.
Press M on the title screen to pick a different mint from the directory, or
paste your own.
Click the frame to focus it, then move with the arrow keys or WASD, talk/read with Z, and open the menu with X. Press N to toggle night.
